Day 1: Fez – Ifrane – Midelt – Erfoud – Rissani to Camel Ride in Merzouga Desert
After breakfast in Fes, we begin our journey towards the Merzouga desert. We will pass through Ifrane, known as the 'Switzerland of Morocco', and Azrou, a Berber town in the Cedar Forest where you can see Barbary monkeys.
We continue through the Middle Atlas mountains, passing through the Tizi N Talghmet pass to Midelt. We will then travel through the Ziz Valley, the largest oasis of palm trees in Morocco, and the town of Erfoud, famous for its fossils.
Upon arrival in Merzouga, you will embark on a camel trek into the desert to witness a spectacular sunset. The day ends with a night in an equipped desert camp, enjoying Berber drums under a canopy of stars.
Day 2: Merzouga Desert – Nomads Families – Tisardmin Oasis – Khamlia – Erg Chebbi
We wake up early to see the sunrise and then ride our camels back to Merzouga for breakfast. Today is dedicated to exploring the Merzouga desert and its culture. We will visit a Berber house to learn about their way of life and traditions.
We will also visit Khamlia village to experience Gnawa music, which has its roots in Ghana and Sudan. You'll be welcomed with a traditional cup of tea. We will also explore mines, visit Berber nomads, and see a beautiful palm oasis.
You'll have the chance to climb the Erg Chebbi dune, which is over 250 meters high, either by camel, sandboard, or on foot. After a day full of adventure, we will check into a hotel for the night.
Day 3: Merzouga Desert – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges to Dades Valley
After a comfortable night and Berber breakfast, we travel through numerous small villages and Berber shops. Our destination is Tinghir, where the Todra Gorges are located. This valley, with its towering mountains, is a popular spot for climbers.
It's a wonderful place to have lunch and enjoy the sound of the river. In the afternoon, we travel to explore the Dades Valley and Boumalne Dades, taking time to capture photos of the stunning scenery.
We will spend the night in a hotel in the Dades Gorges.
Day 4: Dades Valley – Kasbah Amridil – Palm Gloves of Skoura – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, we'll admire the fabulous mountain chains and discover some of the thousands of kasbahs in the area. We'll visit Kalaat M'gouna, the town of roses, and the Amridil Kasbah.
We will also explore the palm groves of Skoura. The cultural variety and hospitable people make Morocco a destination for millions of tourists.
At the end of our amazing day, we move to Ouarzazate for accommodation.
Day 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – High Atlas to Marrakech
After breakfast, we will visit Ouarzazate, the city of Cinema and the largest solar energy station. We will have the chance to visit the most famous Kasbah in Morocco, Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
This beautiful and amazing kasbah has been the setting for many international films like Gladiator and The Mummy. We will also see the Kasbah of the Glaoui, the former residence of the Pasha of Marrakech.
Finally, we cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi N'Tichka pass to Marrakech, where our tour ends.
