12 Days Trip from Tangier to Marrakech via Fes and Merzouga

Itinirary

Day 1: Sightseeing Tangier

 Our professional guide picks up you from airport or port then to Hotel to have a rest and putting your stuff. In evening, you have to visit Kasbah fortress which is history rich, at your glance to the Mediterranean Sea you will see Strait of Gibraltar. Tangier is also the loved places to visit. In this Northern Atlantic Coast and the Mediterranean Coast, within day things to do such as visiting ruins of Lixus, Cap Spartel, the American Legation Museum, the Tomb of Ibn Battuta; Moroccan famous writer in 14th– Century, etc. And then you go back to your accommodation.

Day 2: Tangier – Tetouaen – Chefchaouen

  After breakfast, we move to explore other attractive sights as old town where you start see another architecture culture and how was Moroccans thinking from past centuries. We continue to Tetouan city; white pigeon to discover its gorgeous views before travel to beautiful blue pearl; Chefchaouen town through Rif Mountains. In this wonderful and fascinating town, private local guide is always ready to walk with around shows. In Haouta Square, there is information about the history. Moreover, the narrow streets are painted and full of plants; decorate the views. Furthermore, you will have time to visit shops to buy if you would like and exploring the side of handicrafts. Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Moulay Driss Zerhone – Meknes – Fez

  It is your second day in Morocco and your first morning, so you will taste delicious breakfast before we travel to uncover Meknes with new culture and new archeological sites. For examples, Sahrij Swani which is pool of water built it by Molay Ismail; the king who old Meknes, Bab Mansour and yard of Lhdim where people meet each evening around humors and tellers of stories to entertain and to escape with life from stress of work. Moreover, we visit Volubilis which is an old city built it by Berber and Roman. It is an archeological site that belongs to UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. It collapsed by human and natural factor. But the ministers of heritage made some modifications to the main walls. Our adventure for today ends in Fez.

Day 4: Discovering Fez

  After your delicious breakfast you have the whole day to explore one of the oldest cities in Morocco. Our local guide knows Fez well as he drinks cup of tea. The first steep is visiting old medieval Medina which is 1st Imperial city, where the history speaks himself to his visitors. At this compound territory, we have another culture and hundreds visitors every day who come from different countries. Rated attractions and places to discover in Fez are panoramic show of Jewish quarter, known as “Mellah”, 16th century fortress of military; today is arm museum, Al-Attarine Madrasa, Bab Bou Jeloud and others places to entrain a unique travel. In the end of day, your Hotel or Riad welcome you again.

Day 5: Fez – Ifrane – Midelt – Errachidia – Oasis Valley – Merzouga Desert

  We are always ready to be with you so after your delicious breakfast full of bio production, our car’s rush turn forward to see beautiful life around you. Fez is a capital of science in Morocco, is the first city over the world who built the university which is Qarouine University, has beautiful old town. At this place you will be more curious to discover the old side of life in Morocco. In fact, these views fascinate tourists who had visited Morocco to the level of coming back every years. As we know that Midelt city waiting for us to explore. But we still have enough time to uncover some wonderful places in Middle city. For examples, Ifrane city is famous as Switzerland of Morocco by its visitors. It has also sneeze climate in summer and so cold in winter because of snow and rain. After discovering Ifrane, Azrou town; a beautiful Berber town is our next destination to visit. At this town we have an attractive things like Cedar Forest in which there are Berber Monkey, Berber horses and traditional clothes. And then we travel to Merzouga through Tizi N Talghmet. Our adventure today takes us to discover desert climate, different tradition and other tribes. After crossing Errachidia city, there is the biggest Oasis of palm trees in Morocco which product bio and sweet fruits with lot of types. In addition, Erfoud town is a well-known by fossils and Market of palm trees fruits. Finally, Merzouga is a small town that belongs to desert, as other tourists who come to spend night in an equipped camp, we also have this opportunity, so we trike camels to see fabulous views such as lights of sunset, Berber Drum and amazing lights of stars.

Day 6: Visiting Merzouga Desert’s Area

  We wake up early in the desert to see the beautiful show of sunrise, and then we ride camel back to Merzouga where we always enjoy our delicious breakfast, and then the whole day is to discover Merzouga Desert and its culture. Starting with Berber house; exploring method of life and their traditions. In addition, we visit Khamlia to uncover Gnawa music which is kind of music came from Ghana and Sudan while these people had traveled to Morocco for settling and they always welcome their guests with cup of tea. There are also mines, Berber Nomads and the Oasis of palm trees to visit. Moreover, we have time to climb the Dune of Erg Chebbi which is a big Dune of sand with tall of more than 250 miters. In fact, we have option to choose which means to use such as camels, sand board and our feet. After day full of adventures, it is time accommodate in Hotel.      

Day 7: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

  We wake up early in the desert to see the beautiful show of sunrise, and then we ride camel back to Merzouga where we always enjoy our delicious breakfast, and then we travel through an enormous number of small villages and Berber shop to buy traditional clothes and souvenirs until Tinghir where Todra Gorges is. It is known as valley with dangerous mountains that has its lovers who come especially to climb this risky downward to enjoy their time. It is also wonderful place to have lunch and enjoy sneeze with voice of water in river. In afternoon, we travel to explore Dades Valley and Boumalne Dades and have time to shoot pictures in perfect places until Dades Gorges to spend night in Hotel.

Day 8: Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – Marrakech

 After delicious breakfast with Berber nice cup of tea, we make glance at mountains chain which is fabulous, and discovering some Kasbahs. At this area there are thousands Kasbahs unfortunately lot of them collapsed because of natural factors such as rain and wind, and their owners leave them. In Kalaat Mgouna; the small town well-known by its beautiful roses for that each year organizes a festival of roses, has many views to shot. In fact, we don’t miss this chance to discover these roses and their products. Before Ouarzazate we have Amridil Kasbah to visit and to explore archaeological sites which are different to other Kasbah. Furthermore, we can touch new types in traditions. Indeed, wonderful cultural varieties, hostess people and multicultural persons make Morocco destination of millions tourists around the globe. Indeed, we visit Ouarzazate; city of Cinema and biggest Station of Energy Solar. Of course we have a big chance to visit the most famous Kasbah in Morocco which is Ait Benhaddou Kasbah the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is beautiful and amazing Kasbah with an unbelievable architecture. Some Actors shoot their international there such as Gladiator, Obelix, the Mummy the Jewel of the Nile, Sahara with Penelope Cruz, etc. We have option to enjoy lunch. Moreover, there is another beautiful Kasbah which is known as residence of the Glaoui or Marrakech Pasha. Finally, we cross High Atlas Mountains through Tizi N Techka to Marrakech.         

Day 9: Marrakech – Essaouira – Marrakech

   After breakfast in Marrakech, we travel to Essaouira via Chichaoua and seeing Argan trees; a tree belongs to Morocco only. We can make a small pause to take pictures and exploring traditional things in women’s cooperatives of handicrafts. We continue to live an independent day in Essaouira where we can explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site old Medina; contains old architecture and narrow street and Riads, Markets, fishing port, and amazing beach in which the condition of organizing surfing ski and camping in summer. Essaouira is surrounded by big rampart against attack of enemies who came from Atlantic Sea. Briefly, Esaouira organizes international festival of Gnawa music every year. The visitors of this Atlantic Sea city don’t miss to taste its delicious dishes of fish. In the evening, we travel back to Marrakech.

Day 10: Uncovering wonderful Marrakech

  In every morning, we starts our day with delicious and bio breakfast to have enough power which help us to travel freely. Today, we have whole hours of the day to discover Marrakech. It is an old city which contains hundreds of wonderful places to be uncovered. For examples, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, Jemaa el Fnaa, Koutoubia Mosque, El Badi Palace, Museum of Marrakech and Ben Youssef Madrasa. Briefly, we have in these places beautiful views as décor in another world, rooms filled with paintings, stuccos and mosaics, Souk of leather and traditional stuff, etc. All these things show how Morocco rich culturally. In the side of Food and dishes, Marrakech has different dishes such as Moroccan and international dishes. After a day full of unbelievable views and amazing foods, your accommodation waits you. 

Day 11: Marrakech – Casablanca – Rabat – Assilah

 After your delicious breakfast we travel to visit Casablanca. If we have enough time, we will visit the mosque of Hassan 2 which is third big mosque in the world. It built by the king Hassan 2 in the last decade of 20th Century beside to Atlantic sea. In addition, we always take our customers to explore Corniche. We travel to Rabat; administration capital, one of the best and cleaned capital over the planet. It has huge number of views to visit such as Bab Chellah, mosque Hassan Tower and art mausoleum Mohamed 5th. After that we have to travel to Assilah for accommodation.

 Day 12: Assilah to Tangier   

    Before exploring some places in Asilah city, we enjoy our delicious breakfast. According what we have of time, we spend it between most attractive views. For examples, Puerto de Assilah which is a beautiful Kasbah with an amazing Atlantic Coastal view, Asilah Medina, paradise Beach Kaf Lahmam, Church of San Bartholomew, Hammam Al Alba, Jewish Cemetery, Dar Al Khattat, etc. Plenty of activities to do and places to visit and to pictured. Finally, we move to Tangier port or airport.
