10 Days Trip from Tangier to Fez through Marrakech and Merzouga

Itinirary

Day 1: Tangier to Rabat

  Our professional guide picks up you from airport or port then you have to visit Kasbah fortress which is history rich, at your glance to the Mediterranean Sea you will see Strait of Gibraltar. Tangier is also the loved places to visit. In this Northern Atlantic Coast and the Mediterranean Coast, within day things to do such as visiting ruins of Lixus, Cap Spartel, the American Legation Museum, the Tomb of Ibn Battuta; Moroccan famous writer in 14th– Century, etc. And then you travel through Asilah to Rabat to accommodation.

Day 2: Rabat – Casablanca – Marrakech

 Start your day with delicious breakfast. We move to discover Rabat; administration capital, one of the best and cleaned capital over the planet. It has huge number of views to visit such as Bab Chellah, mosque Hassan Tower which started it building by Yacoub Al-Mansour. It is UNESCO World Heritage Site from 2012, and art mausoleum Mohamed 5th. Local guide knows best things to do in Rabat, so he gives you options to choose where to go. Briefly, Rabat is full wonderful architecture, rich history and nature. We follow our curiosity to Casablanca we visit the mosque of Hassan 2 which is third big mosque in the world. It built by the king Hassan 2 in the last decade of 20th Century beside to Atlantic sea. In addition, we always take our customers to explore Corniche, etc. finally, we drive to Marrakech for overnight.

Day 3: Sightseeing Marrakech

In every morning, we starts our day with delicious and bio breakfast to have enough power which help us to travel freely. Today, we have whole hours of the day to discover Marrakech. It is an old city which contains hundreds of wonderful places to be uncovered. For examples, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, Jemaa el Fnaa, Koutoubia Mosque, El Badi Palace, Museum of Marrakech and Ben Youssef Madrasa. Briefly, we have in these places beautiful views as décor in another world, rooms filled with paintings, stuccos and mosaics, Souk of leather and traditional stuff, etc. All these things show how Morocco rich culturally. In the side of Food and dishes, Marrakech has different dishes such as Moroccan and international dishes. After a day full of unbelievable views and amazing foods, your accommodation waits you. 

Day 4: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate

In every morning, we starts our day with delicious and bio breakfast to have enough power which help us to travel freely. Today, we have to cross High Atlas via Tizi N Techka where we can see panoramic views, and then we continue through south until Ait Benhaddou Kasbahthe UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is beautiful and amazing Kasbah with an unbelievable architecture. Some Actors shoot their international there such as Gladiator, Obelix, the Mummy the Jewel of the Nile, Sahara with Penelope Cruz, etc. We have option to enjoy lunch. Moreover, there is another beautiful Kasbah which is known as residence of the Glaoui or Marrakech Pasha. Furthermore, Ouarzazate is our next point, is famous as city of Cinema and biggest Station of Energy Solar, the sense of its name means no noise. At the end of the day, we accommodate in Ouarzazate.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Merzouga

Before taking road to live a day in desert, we take breakfast. Our adventure today takes us to discover desert climate, different tradition and other tribes. After crossing some villages, there is Todra Gorges to visit and to entertain our journey, and then we move to Tinjdad village for shopping traditional stuff if you would like to. In addition, Erfoud town is a well-known by fossils and Market of palm trees fruits. Finally, Merzouga is a small town that belongs to desert, as other tourists who come to spend night in an equipped camp, we also have this opportunity, so we trek camels to see fabulous views such as lights of sunset, Berber Drum and amazing lights of stars.

Day 6: Discovering Merzouga Area

We wake up early in the desert to see the beautiful show of sunrise, and then we ride camel back to Merzouga where we always enjoy our delicious breakfast, and then the whole day is to discover Merzouga Desert and its culture. Starting with Berber house; exploring method of life and their traditions. In addition, we visit Khamlia to uncover Gnawa music which is kind of music came from Ghana and Sudan while these people had traveled to Morocco for settling and they always welcome their guests with cup of tea. There are also mines, Berber Nomads and the Oasis of palm trees to visit. Moreover, we have time to climb the Dune of Erg Chebbi which is a big Dune of sand with tall of more than 250 miters. In fact, we have option to choose which means to use such as camels, sand board and our feet. After day full of adventures, it is time accommodate in Hotel.      

Day 7: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Ifrane – Fez

After comfortable night, we enjoy our Berber breakfast. As it is our last day of this gorgeous trip, we travel through an enormous number of small villages and Berber shop to buy traditional clothes, souvenirs and we visit the wonderful and more attractive places such as Ziz Valley; the longest Oasis of palm trees in Morocco and it contains lot of types fruit of palm trees with high quality. In addition, we pass Tizi N Talghamt to take look at Midelt town; a Berber town in Middle Atlas with different traditions and handcraft. Moreover, we have Cedar Forest, Azrou and Ifrane town which well-known, Switzerland of Morocco. Fez is our last destination. But we spend whole day between views to make our guests enthusiasm and happy. 

Day 8: Fez – Meknes – Volubilis – Moulay Driss Zerhoune

After your delicious breakfast you have the whole day to explore one of the oldest cities in Morocco. Our local guide knows Fez well as he drinks cup of tea. The first steep is visiting old medieval Medina which is 1st Imperial city, where the history speaks himself to his visitors. At this compound territory, we have another culture and hundreds visitors every day who come from different countries. Rated attractions and places to discover in Fez are panoramic show of Jewish quarter, known as “Mellah”, 16th century fortress of military; today is arm museum, Al-Attarine Madrasa, Bab Bou Jeloud and others places to entrain a unique travel. Moreover, we visit Volubilis which is an old city built it by Berber and Roman. It is an archeological site that belongs to UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. It collapsed by human and natural factor. But the ministers of heritage made some modifications to the main walls. And then we accommodate in Meknes.

Day 9: Meknes to Chefchaouen

It is your ninth day in Morocco and your first morning, so you will taste delicious breakfast before we go to uncover new culture and new archeological sites. For examples, Sahrij Swani which is pool of water built it by Molay Ismail; the king who old Meknes, Bab Mansour and yard of Lhdim where people meet each evening around humors and tellers of stories to entertain and to escape with life from stress of work. We continue to Chefchaouen through Rif Mountains.  In this wonderful and fascinating town, private local guide is always ready to walk with around shows. In Haouta Square, there is information about the history. Moreover, the narrow streets are painted and full of plants; decorate the views. Furthermore, you will have time to visit shops to buy if you would like and exploring the side of handicrafts. Chefchaouen is a lovely place, and its people are friendly. In the end of the day, you accommodate.      

Day 10: Chefchaouen to Tangier

  You have to enjoy your sweet breakfast as always and then if the appointment of the plane or ship is in evening. So we have some time to explore other places. Finally, it is time to pick up to the airport of Tangier.
